The Dalian client center was opened in 2010. It is located in the Dalian Hi-Tech Zone which has received considerable investment and is an important center for information technology offshoring and business process outsourcing.

Finance and other service industries have also become well established in Dalian, with many foreign-funded banks and financial institutions based in the city. In addition, the city is now an increasingly important software exporter to Japan.

Located on the picturesque Liaodong Peninsula, Dalian is in the center of the Northeast Asia economic zone, and is close to Japan, South Korea and the Far East regions of Russia. The population of Dalian at the end of 2008 was 6.13 million. The city has enjoyed a continuous double-digit increase in GDP since 1992. Dalian is the first city in China to receive the "Global 500" award for human habitation and excellent living environment by UNEP - United Nations Environment Program.

Dalian is a very popular destination for tourists and is well known for its modern shopping malls, stylish high-rise buildings, large expanses of parkland and sandy beaches. Attractions include the Dalian International Beer Festival, the International Fashion Festival, Dalian International Auto Show, the Dalian International Marathon and the China International Software & Information Service Fair.
