Quickstart Global Expand Operations into Taiwan
Additional center opens to service growing client base
Wednesday September 14, 2008
London and Taipei - Quickstart Global today announced the establishment of an additional delivery center in Taipei, Taiwan. The center will be fully equipped and ready to service clients from October 2008. The location was selected in response to client requirements for specific skills which they require to achieve their exponential growth plans, particularly for communications, networking, hardware, and games and animation companies.
Taipei provides access to a pool of highly skilled workers with particular strengths in electronics and games design as well as traditional software development. The country offers strong Intellectual Property protection compared to mainland China, and can be viewed as a safe stepping stone into the vast Chinese market. Education standards in Taiwan are very high and exceptional levels of English skills are also available.
Overall, Taiwan offers a high level of stability, with current inflation levels running at under 2% per annum. Loaded costs are effectively 50% of those in the US or Europe, therefore offering sustainability to organizations wishing to establish operations in Taiwan.
Neal Gandhi, CEO of Quickstart Global commented “The addition of Taipei, our 5th Global Delivery Center, will allow clients to access yet another incredible talent pool. As electronics manufacturers shifted their activities to mainland China over the last decade or so, they have left behind significant numbers of skilled, experienced and globally aware people. Taiwan represents a surprising offshore location to many but with more than 50% of the 10 million strong workforce employed in the service sector, and with excellent economic stability, we are confident that Quickstart Global clients will find this an attractive long term location.”
Chiu-Lin Ouarmin, General Manager, Quickstart Global Taiwan said “Assessed and acknowledged by Business Environment Risk Intelligence and the World Economic Forum for outstanding performance particularly in global competitiveness, Taiwan continues to stand out especially because of its technological innovation, strategic location in the Asia-pacific region, and improved business relations with China.” She continues “Thanks to high educational standards, Taiwan has accumulated a stock of human capital and developed a capacity for scientific research and technological R&D second in Asia only to Japan. With its flexibility and ability to provide high quality human resources, Quickstart Global Taiwan is set to turn our clients’ strategies into action, challenges into opportunities, and promises into realities.”
The opening of Taipei as a delivery centre is in addition to existing centres in India (Pune and Vadodara), Sofia in Bulgaria and Managua in Nicaragua and augments the companies mission to de-risk clients’ global expansion activities and seek out qualified talent pools from around the world. Quickstart Global are continually seeking out new locations which will provide access to skilled and knowledgeable staff within stable markets thus enabling clients to take full advantage of the opportunities available, regardless of geographical boundaries.
Representatives from India, Taiwan, Nicaragua and Bulgaria will be presenting their delivery centers at Quickstart Global’s European Client Forum, to be held in London on October 21st, 2008. Limited spaces are available for non clients and press.
