Our newest client centre is based in Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires, Argentina. It provides a refreshing change from traditional outsourcing destinations - but not at the expense of quality staff and reliable infrastructure. The area is a well known residential, gastronomic and business center in the city and a great place to work.
Argentina was selected as a location as the country made huge investments in technology during the 90’s. This left a legacy of cheap bandwidth, efficient telephone communications and many skilled and experienced candidates, making it a very attractive offshore destination.
Recently, many multinationals have established in Argentina or outsourced their activities to this country, including EDS, Sitel, Microsoft, Dell, Vodafone and Citibank. They have been attracted by the large number of English speakers, the well developed IT sector and the time difference, 3 hours behind GMT and 4 hours ahead of PST.
Many Argentinians have dual-European passports and English is taught to pupils from an early age. Apart from Spanish, students are frequently fluent in English, and many people speak Italian, French, German and Portuguese.
In the past four years the Argentinian economy has shown an average yearly growth of 9%. Argentina offers a growing internal market of 39 million consumers and is a trampoline to other countries in the region, such as Chile (15 million inhabitants) and Brazil (186 million inhabitants).
